Apple Releases iOS 5 Beta 7 To Developers

August 31, 2011 Mobile News Comments Off

Hey, what do you know! It’s been just shy of two weeks since Apple’s last Beta release of iOS 5 , and just like clockwork, they’re back with another serving. You guys all know the drill at this point: as usual, this Beta release is for developers (and “developers” ) only — but on the upside, that Beta version number probably won’t climb too much higher before this thing gets released to everyone. Plus: at this point, the releases seem to be boiling down to bug fixes and tiny tweaks

iOS 5 beta 7 goes live for developers

August 31, 2011 IT News Comments Off

Well, you can’t say Cupertino isn’t being consistent. Just like last time, Apple’s gone and released a new beta of iOS 5, less than two weeks after the last one . Not much of interest pops out of build 9A5313E’s release notes, but we’d presume it squashes a fair share of bugs.

Netflix D-Day Arrives: Choose Your Plan

August 31, 2011 Apple World Comments Off

You can’t say we didn’t warn you.  Back in July, we reported about Netflix’s plan to raise their rate plans, and a lot of you took to your favorite social networking sites, message boards and emails to complain. Loudly.  At first, only new Netflix customers were faced with the new plans, and existing customers were allowed to stay at their current pricing. Well, the day has arrived: starting tomorrow, everyone must choose one of the new, more expensive rate plans.

Facebook Aims to Partner With, Not Squash, Music Streaming Services

August 31, 2011 NET News Comments Off

Facebook will launch its much-rumored music platform at next month’s f8 developers’ conference, CNBC reported this afternoon. August 31, 2011 NET News Comments Off

It may seem less of a shock to those who experience history as a constant, flowing stream, who perceive events as progressions rather than snapshots, who remember the recent, and then the distant, past by rewinding their memories past last week, last year, the year before, to eventually arrive at a different era.
