See that flaming wreckage in the picture above? A laser did that, mounted on board a second vessel similarly bobbing on top of the ocean last week. Yes, even though the United States Navy told us that legitimate seafaring death rays might take another decade to materialize, basic weaponized lasers are ready today, as the 15-kilowatt gun attached to the USS Paul Foster happily demonstrates.

Intuit built a NFC-enabled version of its GoPayment mobile payment processing system over two years ago, says Omar Green, the company’s Director of Strategic Mobile Initiatives. The NFC version was built during developers 10% unstructured time – the time employees are given to work on unassigned projects they’re interested in pursuing.

Probably one of the most annoying features of Firefox 4 is url trimming. The web address of a link is displayed in the bottom left corner of the browser when you hover over it with the mouse. The problem here is that the Mozilla’s developers decided to trim that address when it reaches a certain length

Today does the mark the day however, that the Prism is available through T-Mobile owned retail stores as well T-Mobile.com.
